As Facebook's stock valuation continues to slide (currently $25.87 as of June 5, 2012, take a look at its current stakeholders. Note that Facebook employees make up a 32.4% of the current stakeholders, which may drastically change in the coming weeks when they soon will be allowed to sell their shares. Market analysis predict further downward movement of the stock as more shares are made available to the public.
Biographies of Facebook's Leadership:
Mr. Mark Zuckerberg is the Chairman of the Board, Chief
Executive Officer of Facebook Inc. He has been Chief Executive Officer,
Director since July 2004. Mr. Zuckerberg has served as Chairman of the board of
directors since January 2012. Mr. Zuckerberg attended Harvard University where
he studied computer science.
Mr. David A. Ebersman has been Chief Financial Officer of
Facebook Inc., since September 2009. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Ebersman
served in various positions at Genentech, Inc., a biotechnology company,
including as its Chief Financial Officer from March 2005 and as an Executive
Vice President from January 2006 until April 2009, following Genentech’s
acquisition by F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in March 2009. Prior to joining
Genentech, Mr. Ebersman was a research analyst at Oppenheimer & Company,
Inc., an investment company. In addition to serving as the company's Chief
Financial Officer, Mr. Ebersman has been a member of the board of directors of
Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since July 2009. Mr. Ebersman holds an A.B. in
economics and international relations from Brown University.
Ms. Sheryl K. Sandberg has been Chief Operating Officer of
Facebook Inc., since March 2008. From November 2001 to March 2008, Ms. Sandberg
served in various positions at Google, Inc., most recently as Vice President,
Global Online Sales & Operations. Ms. Sandberg also is a former Chief of
Staff of the U.S. Treasury Department and previously served as a consultant
with McKinsey & Company, a management consulting company, and as an
economist with The World Bank. In addition to serving as our Chief Operating Officer,
Ms. Sandberg has been a member of the board of directors of the Walt Disney
Company since December 2009. Ms. Sandberg holds an A.B. in economics from
Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Theodore W. Ullyot, Esq., is the Vice President, General
Counsel, Secretary of Facebook Inc., since October 2008. From May 2008 to
October 2008, Mr. Ullyot was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, a law firm.
From October 2005 to April 2008, Mr. Ullyot served as Executive Vice President
and General Counsel of ESL Investments, Inc., a private investment firm. Prior
to joining ESL Investments, Mr. Ullyot served in the federal executive branch
under President George W. Bush, including as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Justice
Department and as a Deputy Assistant to the President. Earlier in his career,
Mr. Ullyot was an associate general counsel at AOL Time Warner, Inc. and served
as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and for Judge
Michael Luttig of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Ullyot
holds an A.B. in History from Harvard University and a J.D. from the University
of Chicago.
Mr. David B. Fischer is the Vice President - Marketing and
Business Partnerships of Facebook Inc. He joined the Company in April 2010.
From July 2002 to March 2010, Mr. Fischer served in various positions at
Google, including most recently as its Vice President, Global Online Sales
& Operations. Prior to joining Google, Mr. Fischer served as Deputy Chief
of Staff of the U.S. Treasury Department and was an associate editor at the
U.S. News World Report, L.P., a news magazine company. Mr. Fischer holds a B.A.
in government from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford
University Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Michael Schroepfer is the Vice President - Engineering
of Facebook Inc., since September 2008. From December 2005 to August 2008, Mr.
Schroepfer served as Vice President of Engineering at Mozilla Corporation, an
Internet company. Prior to Mozilla, Mr. Schroepfer served in various positions
at Sun Microsystems, Inc., an information technology company, including as
Chief Technology Officer of its data center automation division. He also
co-founded CenterRun, Inc., a developer of application provisioning software,
which was acquired by Sun Microsystems. In addition to serving as our Vice
President of Engineering, Mr. Schroepfer has been a member of the board of
directors of Ancestry.com Inc. since January 2011. Mr. Schroepfer holds a B.S.
and an M.S. in computer science from Stanford University.
